Murphy Oil Corporation Announces Executive Promotions
EL DORADO, Arkansas, February 7, 2014 - Murphy Oil Corporation (NYSE:MUR) recently announced the following executive promotions, effective immediately.
Walter K. Compton has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Compton joined the Law Department of Murphy in 1988 and was promoted to Manager, Law and Corporate Secretary in 1996. He was named Vice President, Law in 2009. In 2011 he was promoted to Senior Vice President and took on the role of General Counsel. Compton received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a law degree from the University of Arkansas. He will continue to report to Roger W. Jenkins, President and CEO.
Kelli M. Hammock has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Administration. Hammock joined Murphy in 1993 as an Associate Accountant and subsequently received various promotions within the Controller's Department. In 2004, she was promoted to Manager, Purchasing and Services in the Administration Department. Hammock was named General Manager, Administration in 2006 and was promoted to Vice President, Administration in 2009. Hammock received bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Louisiana Tech University. She will continue to report to Compton.
John W. Dumas has been promoted to Vice President, Corporate Insurance. Dumas joined the Company in 1988 as Manager, Corporate Insurance. He was promoted to Director, Corporate Insurance in 2005. He received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Southern Arkansas University. He received a master's degree in economics from the University of Arkansas. Dumas will continue to report to Compton.
Allan J. Misner has been promoted to Vice President, Internal Audit for Murphy Oil Corporation. Misner joined the Company in 2007 with over 22 years experience in internal auditing. Misner received bachelor's and master's degrees in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Information Systems Auditor. Misner will continue to report to Kevin Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
K. Todd Montgomery has been elected Vice President, Corporate Planning & Services replacing Tom Mireles who has been promoted within Murphy Exploration & Production Company. Montgomery joined Murphy earlier this year and will oversee all Corporate Strategic Planning, Procurement, Corporate Reserves, and Oil & Gas Marketing. Montgomery comes to Murphy with 25 years experience from another major oil company. His experience includes global production and reservoir engineering with management experience in development and strategic planning. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. In his new role, Montgomery will report to Jenkins.
